August 22, WVA Annual Picnic
The Annual WVA Picnic is just around the corner, and we’re making it a day you won’t want to miss. Join us on Saturday, August 22nd at beautiful Fox River Park in Waukesha for great food, great company, and a little friendly competition.
We’ll be serving roasted sweet corn hot off the grill, flavorful grilled chicken, and all the utensils and napkins you’ll need. Bring your own plates, a favorite dish to share, and of course your wine of choice—plus glasses to enjoy it properly.
A lively cornhole tournament will keep the fun going, with prizes for the champions. Festivities kick off at 11 AM, and lunch will be served at noon, right as the corn reaches peak perfection.
It’s the perfect summer gathering—good food, good wine, and good friends.
VERY IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING PARK ENTRANCE: There is no longer a park ranger to collect park entry fees. They have installed an automated license plate reader system. ALL ATTENDEES MUST GO TO THE ONLINE SYSTEM AND PURCHASE A DAILY PASS PRIOR TO ENTERING THE PARK. Please click on this link website to purchase your daily park entry pass.
Directions: Fox River Park is located at W264 S4500 River Road in Waukesha. Take I-43 South toward Beloit, exit I-43 at Highway 164 (Exit #50) and go north on Highway 164 toward Waukesha. Travel 3.4 miles and turn left onto Lawnsdale Road (County Road I). Travel about 2.4 miles and turn right onto River Drive/County Road H/River Road. Travel about 0.2 miles and picnic area #3 will be on your right. Please note the picnic is at Fox River Park, NOT Fox River Parkway Park, which is located farther north along the Fox River.
Registration: To facilitate the picnic committee’s order for food, please register no later than August 7th . You may register online through the club website.
